I’m certified Scrum Master (CSP candidate) and project manager (PMP) with over a decade of experience in the IT industry having worked on various projects at different capacity. My career in the IT industry started out as an IT Specialist for IBM where I wore many hats: from web development to system administration to quality assurance. My career blossomed into software engineer to running my own company to project management. I’ve been very fortunate to have the opportunities to work at several top Fortune 500 companies. I’m currently working at Technicolor as an internal Agile Coach and Scrum Master.
Having worked at different phases of a software development lifecycle using both Agile and waterfall, I understand and have an appreciation for the complexity involved. I’ve been working with teams on Agile adoption for the past two years. I am deeply passionate about Agile and enjoy being the team’s servant leader.
To me, Agile is more than a software development methodology. It’s a way of thinking that recognizes Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs and intrinsic motivations to promote empowerment, self-organization, and trust. At the core of Agile, lives an organic process that grows and evolves with the team. When teams are truly Agile, they become high performing teams that will consistently deliver business value while having fun at a sustainable pace.
On a personal note, my life resolves around my family. My wife, Cassie, and our two kids live in San Gabriel, CA, which is about 10 miles east of Los Angeles. I love spending time with my 3.5 year old daughter, Addyson, and 10 month old son, Tyler.
I'm looking forward to meet everyone!
